About the Company
Blueprints for Successful Events was created in 2003 by ReNee Troy-Mebane, her mother, Judy S. Troy, and her husband, Terry K. Mebane. Each member of the organization has a specific task that contributes to the overall success of the event. Notable accomplishments are based upon distinctive ideas, attention to detail, and the realization that a client is a gift, not a given.
ReNee Troy-Mebane, President, Certified Event Specialist
ReNee has an undergraduate degree in Public Relations and planned and coordinated events for six years before deciding to make it a business. She holds a certification from one of only several "wedding universities" located in the United States. Far from a correspondence course, the university required physical attendance and provided over 70 hours of intense hands-on training in all aspects of wedding and special event planning. The university is sponsored by some of Charlotte's most prominent established vendors. ReNee is always keeping her eyes and ears open for new talent in the industry. Due to this diligence, ReNee has brokered relationships that ensure clients receive top-notch service in all essential areas.
Judy S. Troy, CFO, Business Manager
Judy worked as a Budget Analyst for the Federal Government for thirty years and brings a wealth of experience in forecasting, tracking, and allocating funds relating to financial transactions. Judy handles all the day-to-day administrative duties for both the Charlotte & Fayetteville Offices and has a great rapport with vendors and clients because of her professionalism, friendly demeanor and calm manner.
Terry K. Mebane, Associate
Terry has worked in the events industry for the last eight years. Besides being involved with the logistics of special events, he runs a division of "Blueprints" that is the first of its kind in Charlotte. "The Forgotten Groom" offers specialized services to men who are contemplating engagement or already betrothed. The premise of his work is that grooms have pre-wedding activities and responsibilities and an equally important role in the "Big Day" as brides but most are not given the same level of attention or guidance. It is his mission to get grooms interested in the overall planning and miscellaneous aspects of HIS wedding from a male perspective.
